Toowoomba’s 700 metre elevation means a fresher, less humid climate than Queensland coastal areas where you can experience:

  • the colour and crunch of autumn leaves
  • a crisp dry winter with a temperature range of 5.3 to 16.3 degrees Celsius
  • the scents and shades of spring celebrated with the city’s signature event, The Toowoomba Carnival of Flowers
  • summer with average temperatures from 16.6 to 27.6 degrees Celsius and with refreshing rain.

Our elevated location means cool nights, so a jacket or coat is recommended at night, even in summer. Of course, sun protection is advised all year.
